----- From Bill Landers -----

Thanks for posting information about Linda's passing away. (LINDA SUE (Kennedy) LANDERS)

We had a wonderful marriage throughout our whole adult life. I am so thankful for the time we had together and I am absolutly devestated that we have lost her. I don't know how our sons and I can live without her but obviously we have no choice but to go on.

She will always be in our thoughts and she will never be forgotten.

Sincerly, Bill Landers

----- From Terry White Stapleton -----

(Nov 3) It seems the sad news is becoming a daily thing. I wanted you to know that we just received word a few hours ago that Melody (Morgan) and her husband Bob Skelton returned home this evening to find their son, Travis had passed away. There will be an investigation so Bob and Melody could not even stay in their home tonight.

I have not talked to Melody yet, so this is all we know at this point. As soon as we know more, I will let you know.

We have attended funerals or memorial services almost weekly since the end of July and that's not counting the ones that have passed from our class or others we were not able to attend! This makes four couples who are dear friends of ours who have lost sons, all under 40 or 50 years old, two in the last week! These boys were all close to the same age as our son. It is so scary. Please remember Melody's family in your thoughts and prayers and also Cindy DeLong's father, who just had major surgery. We must all cherish our loved ones, for we never know when we might lose them.

God Bless -- Terry Stapleton

(November 4, 2010) Talked to Melody today. She seems to be holding up pretty well...probably hasn't hit her yet. They found him (Son) at the bottom of the stairs. It will take 4-6 weeks to get test results for cause of death.

There will be a visitation on Monday, Nov. 8, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. at the South Crysler Community of Christ Church at 3100 S. Crysler, Independence.

He will be cremated.

Thanks -- Terry Stapleton
