----- UPCOMING ALL CLASSES OF 65 SUMMER EVENT -----
August 28 potluck McCoy Park Shelter House - the little one near the tennis courts. We have the little shelter house reserved from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
Anticipating that this will be a rather warm day, we will not start to gather at the Shelter until 5:00ish pm. If you want to show up between 3:00 and 5:00pm, that is Okay.
McCoy Park is on the south side of US 24 Highway across from the Truman Presidential Library.
Marilyn told me that we will be using our Class of 65 donation slush fund to get some meat, condiments, bread, plates, utensils and soft drinks. There is no music, just us. Hard to believe it's almost a year since our 45th Reunion. While time flies at the speed of light, things still happen and yes, we want to know how YOU are doing.
Please bring a covered dish with food in it to share. If you want a table cloth, please bring your own. If more than 25 show up, we will need you to bring chairs with you. The concrete gets hard quickly! LOL!
Please also bring your friendship, happy smile and your most positive attitude. Everyone needs that.
This is a City park, don't get caught drinking.

----- JIMMY JONE'S GRANDSON -----
Tuesday, May 17, 2011, 3:45 PM
From Sherrie Jones (Jimmie) Our grandson is doing well and is finally home. Parents are looking forward to the last day of school and being able to stay home with Grant for the summer. He is weighing 8# 11oz. and is about 19 inches long. He spent 63 days in the NICU at St. Lukes on the Plaza. We are loving being grandparents and he is starting to smile at people. We appreciate your prayers and hope you will continue to pray for Tara, John and Little Grant. They still have some worries to deal with but things are coming along. Thanks again for the prayers. Our daughter, Shara, is getting married in Sept. so things are hopping around this house. Lots of excitement. If anyone needs a new roof let us know. Will help pay for a wedding. hahaha!!! It is the truth though. Hope all are healthy and happy.
----- ANITA PETROVIC FLETCHER -----
Tuesday, May 17, 2011, 5:56 PM
Anita Petrovic Fletcher informed me today that, "I (Anita) was in the hospital about seven days a couple weeks ago. Took a ride in ambulance early one morning. Had conjestive heart failure. I (Anita) am feeling better at this time."
Anita's medical team officially wrote on her report that she is "ditzy." In humor, Anita said her husband, Larry, says she has alway been ditzy.
Please remember Anita in your prayers.
----- KARREN NICHOLSON SCOTT -----
At this writing, Karren is in rehab at the Pleasant Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center, 1300 Broadway, Pleasant Hill, Missouri 64080.
Around May 16, Bob Bergen discovered that Karren was in Truman Medical Center downtown after another heart attack and another stroke. From there, Karren went to Research Medical Center.
Marilyn, Jeannie, and Terry Thacker visited Karren last Friday night. Karren is pretty weak and can't talk for very long. Marilyn asked her if she could talk on the phone so Classmates could call. That was answered quickly by there being no phone in the room. The Rehab team obviously doesn't want Karren straining herself trying to talk on the phone.
Karren is currently building up her strength so that she can start the real rehab. If a room opens up, Karren intends to transfer up to the St. Mary's rehab facility in Blue Springs. The driving to see Mom has been a strain on Shawn, but he keeps visiting and supporting his Mom.
Karren has designated one wall as her card wall. So, if you are of a mind, drop her a get well card. Or if you are in or close to Pleasant Hill - drop in. She will be happy to have you there.
----- TOM FULMER'S MOTHER -----
A message from Bob Bergen: Mrs. Fulmer's deceased son, Tom, graduated from Truman in '65, but the surviving son, Jack, brought Tom to our 2005 reunion, due to Tom's inability to drive. Somehow, I think maybe something should be done to acknowledge her passing.

----- David Webb's Daughter -----
Date: Wednesday, March 30, 2011, 8:03 PM
Hi!
I have always prayed for the classmates going through difficult times and now I am on the other end. Our daughter, Kristi has been diagnosed with stage 3 Melonoma. It is the worst of skin cancers and is very aggressive invading other organs in advanced stages. We are seeing a oncologist/surgeon Friday morning. Prayers for Kristi would be appreciated!
Thank You, Linda Webb

Hi!
Prayers were answered and our Daughter, Kristi, showed negative for cancer in the lymph nodes. What a relief! I'd like to thank all Willie Chris classmates that prayed for a great outcome, no cancer.
The power of prayer is wonderful.
Again Thanks! Dave and Linda Webb
