Hi, Classmate!
Last night was Chrisman's 2011 Court Warming Basketball Game. I ran smack into Ricky Hancox (66) and Terry Nelson (Fort) and Ricky told me he couldn't find Melody's obituary and he was sure sorry he missed her service.
Our own Dear Terry White has been so nice to me and helpful about Melody and all the difficulties due to the snow and this and that which made it necessary to change Melody's service date. In my laziness, I had hoped everyone would be looking in the paper for the obituary. The obituary was a long time coming and Melody, for me, is old neighborhood and old same church friends. Shame on me for how I have handled this.
Here is Melody's obituary and her service is tomorrow. Hope to see you there!

----- A bit on the Chrisman Court Warming, 11 Feb -----
The Chrisman girls' basketball team knocked off Belton and in so doing became Conference Champs for 2010-2011. Way to go!!!
Ye' old VFW on 24 Hwy had a berger night and Bingo event. The bergers were delicious.
During the game, Bob Buckley remembered to acknowledge the Alumni. That is sort of an inside joke. But, Bob did and did a nice job of it.
Chrisman boys won and all in all it was a nice outing!
----- Cecil is up for your adoption! -----
Of course you don't really want to adopt me, I am old - fat - would eat all your food - and of course sleep all day in your favorite chair with the TV blasting away. So why adopt me? I want to be your family so this summer we can legally have a family outdoor movie thing using the same video setup we used at the 45th reunion - i.e video projector and large screen. Amazon.com sold me this wonderful set of DVD's that is all about preserving the memory of the old drive-in theaters. Kicks off with the National Anthem, then all those announcements about quiet and no sex in your car, previews of coming attractions, refreshment pitches, cartoon and a double feature that only a person who was supposed to be home via midnight but woke up at 3:00 am with one of these late late late shows still up on the screen - could appreciae. Black and white to boot.
Now you know my proposal for a summer outing. A trip down an old familiar lane of sweet memories at a drive-in double feature movie. Hey, and no curfew! LOL!
If you like this idea, let a reunion planning committee person know. Yes, I need you to adopt me to make it legal. No, I will not follow you home for doing it.
----- Jim Jones' Grandson -----

----- Linda Field Foster -----
Hi My name is Linda Field Foster. I graduated from Truman in 1965. I would appreciate receiving the newsletter for our old schools. Jerry Burkhard sent me an email about Melody Morgan. So sorry to hear that.
I got a call from Dan Edwards a few months ago. He had been to the last reunion and found out that I live in Casper WY where he lives. He came to visit and brought me the dvd and book from the reunion. It was so good to hear from someone from our class. Thanks for all the work you do in keeping us all in touch with each other. Friends are so important for life.
Sincerely,
Linda Field Foster
