Subject: Class of 65 Holiday Open House

Hi!

1. Please drop by Marilyn Holsworths on Saturday December 15 for an open house. Hours are 4:00 pm until everyone leaves.

This is literally a come when you can - leave when you want all class event. No need to bring anything except yourself. That we will be most pleased to see.

For anyone who does not know - Marilyn has one of the old civil war mansions and she decorates inside with many trees. Each tree has a theme and the Hallmark ornaments are extremely pleasing to the eyes.

Besides - this is a good time to catch up on the end of the year gossip and wish your classmates a wonderful holiday season.

Cost - just that stinking ole' donation hat to help cover the purchase of some finger sandwiches and cookies and chips and punch. Laugh if you will, but after a most successful Pow Wow III -- our little donation hat slush fund is up over $200. Getting close to our goal of $300.

2. Please send your condolences to John Allinder, he recently lost his Mother.

3. Johnny Cruz has worked very hard since the fire and now has been able to move back into his home. Carlos is not doing too well, it appears he is losing his eyesight.

4. Kay and the kids threw a surprise 60th birthday party for Mike Kassen. Bill Ruppert showed up and is sporting a shoulder operation all supported by a sling. Mike Arnold claims to still be having to work to support two college kids in Miami , Florida . Randy Halsey is back to his old tricks even with the knee thing. Gaylene reported that Randy was up crawling around in the top of the Crown Center Mayor's Christmas tree putting on limbs and hanging lights and such. Not your regular tree - this one is 100 feet tall.

5. Cheryl Hendricks is planning to move to Tennessee in early January.

6. Thanks to those in our class who have volunteered to accept prayer requests for those classmates wanting folks to pray for them. We now have an all separate mailing list for those volunteers. At this writing, we have 19 volunteers. The catch is this, if you would like folks on the prayer list to pray for you - you must make the request yourself. Sorry - the legal folks tell us that there can be no exception to this criteria. The person who wants to be prayed for must make the request for themselves. Special thanks goes to Larry Binnicker for his help getting this in-place.

7. A very special thank you goes to Barb and Ron McMillian for the best ever Pow Wow! Believe it or not, there was only one complaint about the kissing in the tee pee fund raiser. The hay ride was just about as neat as can be especially with the slow rambling through the 1870 cemetery. A few locals took it upon themselves to try and scare Marilyn - but wouldn't you know it, Carl was there doing his Police routine and the ghosts quickly disappeared. Be sure to thank Ron and Barb for all their hard work. This is a truly fun event for us.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Class of 65 Reunion Planning Committee - and if that offends you, just have a happy holiday!

See ya,
Cecil
