Although I'd been remiss in not attending previous reunions, ironically I had planned on going to the 40th - but either my notice didn't arrive, or I overlooked it.
In any event, I had to laugh when I went to my picture and saw the "update description". Someone must have talked with my Mother long ago - she never could really understand what it was I did! (She passed away about 6 years ago)
A real quick update: After Stanford graduation, I stayed in the Bay Area - like most of my cohorts. I was one of five founders of a technology company (3Com Corporation) raised the venture capital dough and served as its first CFO. For most of the past 20 years, I've been in the money management business - primarily hedge funds. Although I've retired three different times in my life, about four years ago I came out of retirement and joined with a bright guy who had a very small one-man hedge fund business in order to structure, grow and manage the business while he focused on the portfolio part of making money. Although having quintupled the assets, we're still very small but modestly successful.
