Concordia, MO — Goldie (Schrepfer) Schnakenberg, 61, of Concordia, MO, formerly of Independence, MO, died Saturday, March 7, 2009 at the home of her daughter in Concordia.
Born May 19, 1947 in Independence, MO, she was the daughter of the late John C. Schrepfer and Olieta Frazier Schrepfer. On August 7, 1966 she married Harold Schnakenberg who survives of Concordia. During their marriage of 24 years, they were blessed with three daughters. Goldie had lived in Concordia the past five years and prior to that was a longtime resident of Independence, MO, where she was a 1965 graduate of Truman High School. She was a manager in retail sales for most of her life, most recently working as a manager for Wal-Mart Stores in Lee’s Summit, Independence and Marshall. She was a member of the Concordia Frau Lions.
She is survived by her three daughters: Leda Ditch and Janna Bishop, both of Concordia, Starlena Hardison and husband Jacob of Independence; seven grandchildren: Amanda Heimsoth, Craig Heimsoth, Julia Bishop, Cheana Ditch, Jay Ditch, Melody Bishop and Allison Morrison; one great-granddaughter, Erin Heimsoth; three sisters: Pat Harrington of Cave Creek, AZ, Shirley Harmon of Lee’s Summit, Yvonne Schrepfer of Rock Springs, WY; two brothers, John C. Schrepfer, III of Green River, WY, and Kurt Schrepfer of Las Vegas, NV; along with several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 12, 2009 at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Concordia with William W. Harlow officiating. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
