Post 45th Classmate Comments

I would like to go to the Halloween party. but that week-end we will be with our camping club, our last for the year. Just to say again I had a very wonderful time, at Reunion even if it was Friday only. Plan on making it all three days next time

Thank you very much,
Glen Marley

I loved the pictures!! Everyone works so hard to keep our class going and I dearly love everything that has been done.

Class of 65 just is the best of the best and I care for and love everyone of you.

Thank you for sharing and hopefully I will get to visit you soon.

Dawn & I so enjoyed the reunion, and really appreciate the time & effort put in by everyone. I'll keep an eye out for the CD of pics taken at the event - I want a copy. I was also wondering if there is a way to get the information that Jeanne so excellently put together on our departed classmates. The information helped provide some closure & erase uncertainty in many cases.

It was so much fun seeing everyone. I've been telling everyone "Where else can you go to a fantastic party with 200 friends you've know for 45+ years???" I'm sorry I have to wait another 5 years for the 50th.

I'm still relivin' & enjoyin' that reunion. Thanx again to all of you. Dawn & I loved it. See ya in 5 (God willin' & the creek don't rise!!)

Wow! You guys are really having fun. This had to have been an incredible effort Marilyn made putting together and directing such an effective team for the 45th. I'm impressed so many stepped in and created such a class event. I certainly hope we can catch the next one. Thanks, Cecil, keep the emails coming.

A short up-date: Denise and I have been semi-retired for 10 years. We moved to the Plaza area 3-years ago from our Brookside home of 30 years. We are very much enjoying a little easier pace.

We hope the best for everyone,
Fred Johnson

Glad that everyone had such a good time at the reunion.

Best wishes,
John Erickson

Cecil,
I am thanking you and the Reunion Committee for all of the work you are doing. I am so sorry that I didn't get to talk to you, every time I started your way someone got there first or I stopped to talk to someone on the way. At my age I get sidetracked very easily and sometimes forgot that I was in route to somewhere. I didn't know that you were going to be the disc jockey and put you off limits. We enjoyed your fine job.

Everyone started to clean up and I got side tracked again. The time flew by and the end came too soon.

I am living closer now and plan on being in Independence for more of the fun things that our class plans.

My parents celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this year. They are 88 and 89 and I will also need to be there for them.

Thank you all,
Diane Pittman

Dear Cecil,

Thanks for posting the photos.

My only problems is -- I don't have a clue who is who. I may recognize Marilyn, but after that, nada. I didn't see you in the group from the 40th or 45th reunion.

I am going to go back through them and venture to guess. I did see a board up in the background of those who had passed and was interested to know who they were. (ADDED: Click here for list

As always, thanks for thinking of me. One day I will get to see you in the flesh. Until then----

Brother, Joel Montgomery

Dear Cecil,

Thank you for contacting me about the 45th Class Reunion. I had a marvelous time seeing old friends!! I tried to catch you on the way out - you were busy w/ music--

I had 2 family reunions, Pow-Wow in White Cloud, KS and a wedding in the Ozarks to attend, & 2 days in Memphis (toured Graceland & Beale St, Gibson guitars, & Sun Records.)

I didn't want to come home.

Thanks,
Glynda Poe Schannoth
