The William Chrisman High School Hall of Fame inducted 59 members from 1989 - 2004. You can see the entire list by going to www.Williechris.com and clicking on Hall of Fame.
This year, 2011, we will induct nine new members into the William Chrisman High School Hall of Fame during halftime of our homecoming football game at 1:00 pm on October 1, 2011. Our homecoming opponent is Nevada High School.
The Hall of Fame class of 2011 by year of graduation is:
Class of 1901 -- Harry and Bess Truman -- Distinguished Service President and First Lady.
Class of 1942 -- Robert and Roger Skinner -- football and basketball. Both recognized for contributions to the handicapped throughout their lives - especially the hearing impaired.
Class of 1951 -- Gary Bergen -- basketball. University of Utah -- 1st round NBA draft pick of the New York Knicks in 1956.
Class of 1962 -- Mike Mattox -- football, basketball, track & field. Elite US Decathlete, now developing and selling his patented exercise equipment.
Class of 1982 -- Nancy (Davidson) Willoughby -- volleyball. Member of state champion volleyball, All Conference / All District teams.
Class of 1994 -- LaShena Graham -- basketball. Member 92-93 team finished 3rd, two time all state.
Class of 2003 -- Jillian Ohrman -- volleyball, track & field. Three time All conference & district volleyball, all state in track.
Congratulations to each of these individuals. We are very proud to call them "Bears."

Welcome to another source of information as we reach out, trying to contact everyone in our class before the 50th Reunion in the Fall of 2012. Right now we're looking at the month of October, but planning is just being "planned" to get started! We welcome any and all ideas you may have...and will let you know dates of planning meetings.
Right now, we stay in touch with the newsletter, Bear Bytes, and occasional emails. For those near to Independence (or here on vacation) we invite you to our monthly lunches at the Courthouse Exchange on the 3rd Friday of the month at 11 a.m. Lots of good food and good chatter.
If you know of anyone on our lost list (we found 2 of them this month: Mary Munday and Claude O'Dell), please let us know. We can only contact right now by email as we have no money for snail mail. Remind friends without a computer they can access us by signing up for a free email address at their local library. We don't want anyone left out! Just fill in the information on the Home Page and we'll get right back to you!
